North Carolina High School Basketball - Gray's Creek overwhelmed by Lumberton

The Gray's Creek Bears basketball team (Hope Mills, NC), was overwhelmed 53-22 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC)

The Pirates now possess a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Douglas Byrd for a 3A/4A Conference 22 battle on Friday, February 3. Lumberton will confront a Eagles team coming off a 69-17 league loss to Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-21.

The Bears (3-15) will now prepare for their battle against South View (Hope Mills, NC). The Tigers come into the 3A/4A Conference 22 battle with a 13-8 record. In their last battle, South View was overwhelmed by Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC), 60-55, in a league battle.
