The Stratford Elks basketball team (Stratford, TX), dropped 50-36 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX)
The Greyhounds now possess a 15-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sunray for a 2A Region I District 1 battle on Friday, February 3. Gruver will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 57-53 league win over West Texas (Stinnett, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 19-10.
The Elks (18-10) will now prepare for their battle against Booker (Booker, TX). The Kiowas come into the 2A Region I District 1 battle with a 6-19 record. In their last battle, Booker dropped by Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX), 45-25, in a league battle.
