North Carolina High School Basketball - Neuse Charter routs Hobbton

January 31, 2023: Smithfield, NC 27577

In Tuesday's league outing, the Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), by a margin of 60-37.

The Cougars (11-10) will now prepare for their outing against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Eagles go into the 1A Conference 10 outing with a 1-17 record. In their last outing, Rosewood was trounced by Union (Rose Hill, NC), 43-32, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 1-15 record. They play next when they host Lakewood for a 1A Conference 10 outing on Friday, February 3. Hobbton will clash with a Leopards squad coming off a 62-54 league loss to North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Leopards record now stands at 10-8.
