Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Johnsburg Skyhawks (Johnsburg, IL), 49-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Marengo upgrades its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Indians host Woodstock (Woodstock, IL) to play the Blue Streaks in a Kishwaukee River bout on Friday, February 3. The Blue Streaks come into the bout with a record of 7-16. Woodstock won 34-11 in their recent league bout against Harvard (Harvard, IL)

Next up, the Skyhawks play the Woodstock North Thunder (Woodstock, IL) in a Kishwaukee River bout, on Friday, February 3. Johnsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 13-14 season record. The Thunder come into the bout with a 11-14 record after their 67-32 league win over Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL).
