The Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 70-62 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cougars (5-19) will now prepare for their test against Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Wildcats go into the SouthWest Prairie - East test with a 7-18 record. In their last test, Plainfield Central went down by Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL), 53-35, in a non-league test.
The Steelmen now own a 10-16 record. They play next when they travel to Romeoville for a SouthWest Prairie - East test on Friday, February 3. Joliet Central will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 51-43 league loss to Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 15-13.
