Keene Chargers (Keene, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Maypearl Panthers (Maypearl, TX), 51-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Keene upgrades its record to 24-7 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Whitney (Whitney, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 3A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, February 3. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 13-15. Whitney won 44-2 in their recent league bout against Harmony Science Academy (Waco, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Grandview Zebras (Grandview, TX) in a 3A Region III District 17 bout, on Friday, February 3. Maypearl will attempt to upgrade on its 20-12 season record. The Zebras come into the bout with a 23-7 record after their 43-32 league win over Keene (Keene, TX).
