South Carolina High School Basketball - Loris edges Waccamaw

January 31, 2023: Loris, SC 29569

The Loris Lions (Loris, SC) basketball nipped the visiting Waccamaw Warriors (Pawley's Island, SC), 42-41 in Tuesday's league test.

The Lions (13-9) will now prepare for their test against Georgetown (Georgetown, SC). The Bulldogs go into the AAA Region 7 test with a 9-13 record. In their last test, Georgetown was tipped by Manning (Manning, SC), 56-30, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 10-10 record. They play next when they host Aynor for a AAA Region 7 test on Friday, February 3. Waccamaw will encounter a Blue Jackets squad coming off a 23-5 non-league win over Lowcountry Prep (Pawleys Island, SC). The Blue Jackets record now stands at 7-10.
