Williams Yellowjackets (Williams, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Maxwell Panthers (Maxwell, CA), 32-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Williams upgrades its record to 4-12 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Hamilton (Hamilton City, CA) to play the Braves in a Mid-Valley bout on Friday, February 3. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 12-8. Hamilton lost 31-30 in their recent league bout against Biggs (Biggs, CA)

Next up, the Panthers play the CORE Butte Lynx (Chico, CA) in a Mid-Valley bout, on Friday, February 3. Maxwell will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Lynx come into the bout with a 1-10 record after their 51-24 league loss to Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA).
