In Tuesday's league outing, the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA), by a margin of 58-51.

The Mustangs (4-14) will now prepare for their outing against Covenant (Charlottesville, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 10-8 record. In their last outing, Covenant was tipped by Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA), 54-44, in a league outing.

The Fighting Hornets now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Goochland for a Jefferson outing on Friday, February 3.
