Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA), 50-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Nodaway Valley upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season.

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Bedford Bulldogs (Bedford, IA) in a Pride of Iowa - West bout, on Friday, February 3. Mount Ayr will attempt to upgrade on its 14-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-15 record after their 52-37 non-league loss to Southwest Valley (Corning, IA).
