The Swain County Maroon Devils basketball team (Bryson City, NC), dropped 50-41 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC)
The Bulldogs now possess a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highlands for a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 1. Murphy will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 52-20 league win over Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC). The Highlanders record now stands at 13-5.
The Maroon Devils (9-12) will now prepare for their battle against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Braves come into the 1A Conference 43 - Big battle with a 18-3 record. In their last battle, Cherokee beat Hayesville (Hayesville, NC), 64-22, in a league battle.
