The New Albany Bulldogs basketball team (New Albany, MS), was overwhelmed 63-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS)
The Cougars now possess a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Houlka for a non-league battle on Friday, February 3. South Pontotoc will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 49-43 non-league loss to Myrtle (Myrtle, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-24.
The Bulldogs (9-16) will now prepare for their battle against Ingomar (New Albany, MS). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 29-1 record. In their last battle, Ingomar trounced Kossuth (Kossuth, MS), 60-50, in a non-league battle.
