Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC), 43-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Statesville upgrades its record to 6-12 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to North Iredell (Olin, NC) to clash with the Raiders in a 3A Conference 51 bout on Friday, February 3. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 14-7. North Iredell won 41-37 in their recent league bout against Hickory (Hickory, NC)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a 3A Conference 51 bout, on Friday, February 3. West Iredell will attempt to upgrade on its 2-19 season record. The Red Tornadoes go into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 41-37 league loss to North Iredell (Olin, NC).
