The Unaka Rangers topped the host University Buccaneers basketball team by a final score of 51-34 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Rangers face the Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) in a 1A District 1 game, on Friday, February 3. Unaka will attempt to move on its 8-16 season record. The Highlanders enter the game with a 13-4 record after their 40-38 league loss to North Greene (Greeneville, TN).
With the defeat, University moves to 1-14 on the year. The Buccaneers host Hampton (Hampton, TN) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Friday, February 3. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 20-1. Hampton won 78-32 in their recent league game against Unaka (Elizabethton, TN)
