Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers (Waynesfield, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Upper Scioto Valley Rams (McGuffey, OH), 50-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Waynesfield-Goshen upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Tigers travel to Mississinawa Valley (Union City, OH) to clash with the Blackhawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 18-3. Mississinawa Valley won 41-32 in their recent league bout against Dixie (New Lebanon, OH)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) in a Northwest Central bout, on Thursday, February 2. Upper Scioto Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 8-11 record after their 73-42 non-league loss to Liberty Union (Baltimore, OH).
