Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host AuSable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY), 59-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Saranac upgrades its record to 12-0 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Patriots play the Seton Catholic Central Knights (Plattsburgh, NY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 1. AuSable Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 42-6 league loss to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY).
