Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Las Lomas Knights (Walnut Creek, CA), 39-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Miramonte upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Alhambra (Martinez, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a bout on Thursday, February 2. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 2-12. Alhambra lost 36-20 in their recent league bout against Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA)

Next up, the Knights play the Campolindo Cougars (Moraga, CA) in a game, on Thursday, February 2. Las Lomas will attempt to move on its 12-8 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 4-15 record after their 53-24 league loss to Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA).
