The Grand Valley Cardinals (Parachute, CO) basketball nipped the host Aspen Skiers (Aspen, CO), 50-49 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Gunnison (Gunnison, CO). The Cowboys go into the test with a 1-0 record.
The Skiers now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Moffat County for a non-league test on Friday, February 3. Aspen will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 45-42 non-league loss to Basalt (Basalt, CO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.
