In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC), by a count of 53-11.
The Redhawks (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts go into the non-league outing with a 17-2 record. In their last outing, West Stanly smashed Anson (Wadesboro, NC), 48-41, in a non-league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 1-13 record. They play next when they host Parkwood for a non-league outing on Friday, February 3. Central Academy will clash with a Wolf Pack squad coming off a 54-46 non-league loss to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 3-9.
