North Carolina High School Basketball - Vance County topped by Granville Central

The Granville Central Panthers basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Vance County Vipers to 39 in the Panthers non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrboro for a non-league contest on Friday, February 3. Granville Central will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 41-20 non-league win over J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-12.

The Vipers (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against South Granville (Creedmoor, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, South Granville was defeated by Southern Durham (Durham, NC), 65-35, in a non-league contest.
