Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 46-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Patton upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Panthers host Brevard (Brevard, NC) to clash with the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 13-5. Brevard lost 39-37 in their recent non-league bout against Chase (Forest City, NC)

Next up, the Hilltoppers clash with the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. R-S Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 72-53 non-league win over Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC).
