The Atlanta Hornets basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting La Plata Bulldogs to 48 in the Hornets league triumph on Wednesday.

The Hornets now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scotland County for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Atlanta will meet a Tigers team coming off a 43-38 non-league win over North Shelby (Shelbyville, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 8-7.

The Bulldogs (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Sturgeon (Sturgeon, MO). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Sturgeon ran past Wellsville-Middletown (Wellsville, MO), 58-36, in a non-league contest.
