Augusta Panthers (Augusta, KY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host St. Patrick Saints (Maysville, KY), 80-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Augusta upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Panthers host Bracken County (Brooksville, KY) to play the Polar Bears in a District 39 bout on Friday, February 2. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a record of 6-16.

Next up, the Saints play the Villa Madonna Vikings (Covington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. St. Patrick will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 68-31 league loss to Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY).
