In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Bath County Chargers basketball team scored a tight 61-54 triumph over the Pocahontas County Warriors .

In their next game, the Chargers meet the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) in a Pioneer match, on Friday, February 2. Bath County will attempt to move on its 10-10 season record. The Green Waves enter the match with a 17-1 record after their 77-34 non-league win over Jefferson Christian Academy (Ripplemead, VA).

With the defeat, Pocahontas County moves to 0-12 on the year. The Warriors host Richwood (Richwood, WV) to meet the Lumberjacks in a non-league match on Friday, February 2.
