The Memphis University Owls tipped the visiting Briarcrest Christian Saints basketball team by a final score of 49-48 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Owls face the St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles (Cordova, TN) in a Division II-AA West game, on Friday, February 2. Memphis University will attempt to move on its 18-3 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 6-12 record after their 61-42 league loss to Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN).

With the defeat, Briarcrest Christian moves to 22-4 on the year. The Saints travel to Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN) to face the Purple Wave in a Division II-AA West game on Friday, February 2. The Purple Wave enter the game with a record of 13-9. Christian Brothers lost 55-52 in their recent non-league game against Memphis Home Education Association (Memphis, TN)
