In Wednesday's league outing, the Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Bryce Valley Mustangs (Tropic, UT), by a count of 71-36.

The Thunderbirds (15-3) will now prepare for their outing against North Sevier (Salina, UT). The Wolves go into the non-league outing with a 3-14 record. In their last outing, North Sevier was crushed by Grand County (Moab, UT), 66-55, in a league outing.

The Mustangs now hold a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Panguitch for a 1A Region 20 outing on Friday, February 2. Bryce Valley will clash with a Bobcats squad coming off a 64-41 league win over Valley (Orderville, UT). The Bobcats record now stands at 17-3.
