California Academy of Math & Science Rebels (Carson, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host New Roads Jaguars (Santa Monica, CA), 2-0 in a league bout.

With the win, California Academy of Math & Science upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Rebels host Hawthorne Math & Science Academy (Hawthorne, CA) to play the The Aviators in a Coastal bout on Friday, February 2. The The Aviators go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy won 52-33 in their recent league bout against Lennox Academy (Lennox, CA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Geffen Academy Bruins (Los Angeles, CA) in a Coastal bout, on Friday, February 2. New Roads will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 57-51 league win over Vistamar (El Segundo, CA).
