North Rockland Raiders (Thiells, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Clarkstown South Vikings (West Nyack, NY), 47-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Rockland upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Raiders host Spring Valley (Spring Valley, NY) to play the Tigers in a Section 1 Conference 1C bout on Friday, February 2. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-12.

Next up, the Vikings play the Ramapo Gryphons (Spring Valley, NY) in a Section 1 Conference 1C bout, on Friday, February 2. Clarkstown South will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record.
