Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Cochranton Cardinals (Cochranton, PA) and the visiting Cranberry Area Berries (Seneca, PA), saw Cochranton's basketball squad hold off Cranberry Area by a count of 72-65.

With the victory, Cochranton upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Rocky Grove (Franklin, PA) to play the Orioles in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 2. The Orioles come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Rocky Grove won 61-32 in their recent league challenge against Commodore Perry (Hadley, PA)

Next up, the Berries play the Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons (Foxburg, PA) in a Keystone Shortway challenge, on Friday, February 2. Cranberry Area will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 64-33 league loss to Karns City (Karns City, PA).
