The Melba Mustangs basketball team (Melba, ID), was nudged 51-45 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Cole Valley Christian Chargers (Meridian, ID)
The Chargers now possess a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Compass Charter for a 2A Western Idaho battle on Friday, February 2. Cole Valley Christian will battle a Aviators team coming off a 47-36 league loss to North Star (Eagle, ID). The Aviators record now stands at 6-10.
The Mustangs (11-7) will now prepare for their battle against Nampa Christian (Nampa, ID). The Trojans come into the 2A Western Idaho battle with a 10-6 record. In their last battle, Nampa Christian edged Marsing (Marsing, ID), 62-47, in a league battle.
