Houghton Academy Panthers (Houghton, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Hinsdale Central Bobcats (Hinsdale, NY), 54-29 in a league bout.

With the victory, Houghton Academy upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Cuba-Rushford (Cuba, NY) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 10-6. Cuba-Rushford won 68-34 in their recent non-league bout against Friendship (Friendship, NY)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Andover Panthers (Andover, NY) in a bout, on Monday, February 5. Hinsdale Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 69-46 non-league loss to Fillmore (Fillmore, NY).
