In Wednesday's league outing, the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) basketball squad beat the host Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), by a count of 61-48.

The Huskies (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Midland Trail (Hico, WV). The Patriots go into the Coalfield A outing with a 10-2 record. In their last outing, Midland Trail defeated Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV), 75-42, in a non-league outing.
