Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Huntingdon Bearcats (Huntingdon, PA), 65-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Philipsburg-Osceola upgrades its record to 4-14 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Forest Hills (Sidman, PA) to play the Rangers in a Laurel Highlands bout on Friday, February 2. The Rangers come into the bout with a record of 13-4. Forest Hills won 76-65 in their recent league bout against Richland (Johnstown, PA)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Penn Cambria Panthers (Cresson, PA) in a Laurel Highlands bout, on Friday, February 2. Huntingdon will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 63-38 league loss to Greater Johnstown (Johnstown, PA).
