In Wednesday's league outing, the John Champe Knights (Aldie, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Woodgrove Wolverines (Purcellville, VA), by a count of 66-64.

The Knights (10-9) will now prepare for their outing against Park View (Sterling, VA). The Patriots go into the Catoctin outing with a 8-11 record. In their last outing, Park View held off Loudoun County (Leesburg, VA), 69-58, in a league outing.

The Wolverines now hold a 16-3 record. They play next when they travel to Loudoun Valley for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. Woodgrove will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 68-52 league win over Heritage (Leesburg, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 12-6.
