Mulberry Yellowjackets (Mulberry, AR) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting St. Paul Saints (St. Paul, AR), 64-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mulberry upgrades its record to 14-15 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Decatur (Decatur, AR) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A Region 1 West bout on Friday, February 2. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 1-18. Decatur lost 65-27 in their recent league bout against Thaden (Bentonville, AR)

Next up, the Saints play the The New School Cougars (Fayetteville, AR) in a 1A Region 1 West bout, on Thursday, February 1. St. Paul will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 22-3 record after their 52-48 league win over County Line (Branch, AR).
