NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC), 59-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, NCSSM: Morganton upgrades its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The travel to Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to play the Mountaineers in a 1A/2A Western Highlands bout on Friday, February 2. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a record of 12-7. Mitchell won 60-51 in their recent league bout against Avery County (Newland, NC)

Next up, the Tigers play the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands bout, on Thursday, February 1. Rosman will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 65-63 league win over Owen (Black Mountain, NC).
