Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 40-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Tempe upgrades its record to 3-17 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Combs (San Tan Valley, AZ) to clash with the Coyotes in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Coyotes go into the bout with a record of 5-15. Combs lost 47-29 in their recent league bout against Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ)

Next up, the Prospectors clash with the Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon bout, on Monday, February 5. Apache Junction will attempt to upgrade on its 1-20 season record. The Dons go into the bout with a 6-17 record after their 47-38 league loss to Cortez (Phoenix, AZ).
