The Carolina International Comets basketball team (Concord, NC), was routed 53-21 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Sugar Creek Wildcats (Charlotte, NC)

The Wildcats now sport a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jackson Day for a non-league battle on Friday, February 2. Sugar Creek will battle a Mariners team coming off a 29-18 league loss to Liberty Preparatory Christian (Mooresville, NC). The Mariners record now stands at 21-6.

The Comets (1-11) will now prepare for their battle against Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats come into the 1A Metro 8 battle with a 4-14 record. In their last battle, Sugar Creek was routed by Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC), 54-21, in a non-league battle.
