Valley Center Jaguars (Valley Center, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA), 29-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Valley Center upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Jaguars host Fallbrook (Fallbrook, CA) to clash with the Warriors in a Valley bout on Friday, February 2. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 18-7. Fallbrook won 56-3 in their recent league bout against Ramona (Ramona, CA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the San Pasqual Golden Eagles (Escondido, CA) in a Valley bout, on Friday, February 2. Escondido will attempt to upgrade on its 14-11 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 1-17 record after their 62-24 league loss to Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA).
