The Fitzgerald Spartans ran past the host Lamphere Rams basketball squad by a count of 65-48 in Wednesday's league challenge.

With the victory, Fitzgerald upgrades its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Warren Woods-Tower (Warren, MI) to play the Titans in a Macomb Area - Silver challenge on Friday, February 2. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Warren Woods-Tower won 65-52 in their recent league challenge against Mott (Warren, MI)

Next up, the Rams play the Center Line Panthers (Center Line, MI) in a Macomb Area - Gold challenge, on Friday, February 2. Lamphere will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 29-23 non-league loss to Sterling Heights (Sterling Heights, MI).
