The Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD) basketball nipped the visiting South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD), 48-47 in Wednesday's league test.
The Eagles (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Westminster (Westminster, MD). The Owls go into the Carroll County test with a 14-5 record. In their last test, Westminster got by Manchester Valley (Manchester, MD), 42-35, in a league test.
The Cavaliers now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Winters Mill for a Carroll County test on Friday, February 2. South Carroll will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 39-36 league loss to Liberty (Sykesville, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 0-12.
