The Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Mercy Marlins to 40 in the Fighting Irish league triumph on Wednesday.
The Fighting Irish now sport a 15-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Notre Dame Academy for a Catholic C-D D contest on Saturday, February 3. Gabriel Richard will meet a Eagles team coming off a 44-36 league loss to Central Catholic (Toledo, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 8-9.
The Marlins (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Central Catholic (Toledo, OH). The Fighting Irish enter the Freelance bout with a 11-6 record. In their last bout, Central Catholic toppled Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH), 44-36, in a league bout.
