The Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL) basketball knocked off the host Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL), 51-39 in Wednesday's league test.
The Knights (20-8) will now prepare for their test against Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Maple Leafs go into the non-league test with a 7-18 record. In their last test, Geneseo went down by Galesburg (Galesburg, IL), 42-36, in a league test.
The Pirates now own a 13-12 record. They play next when they host Normal University for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. Ottawa will encounter a Pioneers squad coming off a 41-10 non-league loss to Taylorville (Taylorville, IL). The Pioneers record now stands at 7-20.
