In their next game, the Lions face the Marlboro Mustangs (Marlboro, NJ) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 2. Middletown North will attempt to move on its 8-12 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 2-15 record after their 50-42 league win over Manalapan (Englishtown, NJ).

With the defeat, Neptune moves to 13-9 on the year. The Scarlet fliers host Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ) to face the Panthers in a Shore B - Coastal game on Thursday, February 1. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 9-8. Point Pleasant Boro lost 61-46 in their recent league game against Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ)
