Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) and the visiting Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC), saw Southwestern Randolph's basketball squad wallop Providence Grove by a tally of 71-31.

With the victory, Southwestern Randolph improves its record to 18-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Randleman (Randleman, NC) to play the Tigers in a 1A/2A Piedmont challenge on Friday, February 2. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Randleman won 54-34 in their recent league challenge against Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC)

Next up, the Patriots play the Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC) in a 1A/2A Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Providence Grove will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-21 record after their 62-29 league loss to Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC).
