Wood Wildcats (Vacaville, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Rodriguez Mustangs (Fairfield, CA), 58-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Wood upgrades its record to 14-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Armijo (Fairfield, CA) to play the Royals in a Monticello Empire League bout on Friday, February 2. The Royals come into the bout with a record of 2-16. Armijo lost 58-25 in their recent league bout against Vacaville (Vacaville, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Fairfield Falcons (Fairfield, CA) in a Monticello Empire League bout, on Friday, February 2. Rodriguez will attempt to upgrade on its 7-18 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 15-10 record after their 80-29 league loss to Vanden (Fairfield, CA).
