With the victory, Shaw improves its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Warriors host Leland (Leland, MS) to confront the Cubs in a 1A Region 5 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Cubs come into the challenge with a record of 3-19. Leland won 45-32 in their recent league challenge against West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS)

Next up, the Blue Devils confront the West Tallahatchie Choctaws (Webb, MS) in a 1A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Simmons will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record. The Choctaws come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 51-34 league loss to South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS).
