West Warwick Wizards (West Warwick, RI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI), 43-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, West Warwick upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Wizards travel to Prout (Wakefield, RI) to play the Crusaders in a Division 2 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 5-11. Prout lost 46-34 in their recent league bout against Smithfield (Esmond, RI)

Next up, the Sentinels play the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Friday, February 2. Smithfield will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 52-45 league win over Coventry (Coventry, RI).
