Sutherlin Bulldogs (Sutherlin, OR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR), 59-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Sutherlin upgrades its record to 19-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Coquille (Coquille, OR) to play the Red Devils in a 3A Far West bout on Friday, February 2. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 20-2. Coquille won 45-29 in their recent league bout against North Valley (Grants Pass, OR)

Next up, the Lancers play the Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR) in a 3A Far West bout, on Friday, February 2. South Umpqua will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record.
