The George Wythe Maroons basketball team (Wytheville, VA), dropped 37-18 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA)

The Spartans now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Chiswell for a non-league battle on Friday, February 2. Giles will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 33-30 non-league win over Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA). The Pioneers record now stands at 11-9.

The Maroons (13-1) will now prepare for their battle against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 7-6 record.
